The Role
An opportunity has opened for a Business Systems Analyst to join a global trading and quantitative research firm operating at the forefront of technology and financial markets. This role sits within the firm’s trading technology function, supporting the design, enhancement, and integration of complex trading systems, data platforms, and automation processes.
You’ll collaborate with traders, engineers, and data specialists to optimise system performance, maintain high-quality data ingestion pipelines, and support key change management initiatives across a fast-paced trading environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct impact analysis and support change management for system upgrades, strategy rollouts, and vendor/exchange integrations
Work with development teams to define, test, and implement new features in trading and operational platforms
Support ETL/ELT pipeline development and maintenance for ingestion of large market and trading datasets
Partner with support teams and developers to document business and technical requirements
Continuously optimise existing processes to meet evolving performance criteria
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system efficiency and reliability
Requirements
4–5 years’ experience in a technical, data, or systems analysis role within the financial sector
Strong SQL skills with experience handling large datasets
Proficiency in Python or another scripting language
Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and tools such as Informatica, Tidal, or Airflow
Experience using project management tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence)
Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline
Understanding of financial instruments such as Futures, Options, and Equities
